No, you do not need a boating license to rent a boat at Lake Tapps. You’ll also need proper safety equipment, such as life jackets for every boater, regardless of age, a fire extinguisher (if required), and navigation lights for night boating. Having a throwable flotation device on board as well won’t hurt.
It is also important to have the necessary paperwork in order. This includes a valid identification and a signed rental agreement with Wake Bros Rentals. Our staff will provide you with all the required documents and assist you in completing them.
